CRPF stands for Central Reserve Police Force, which is the largest paramilitary force of India. It was established in 1939 as the Crown Representative's Police, and after independence, it was renamed as the Central Reserve Police Force in 1949. The primary role of CRPF is to assist state and union territories in maintaining law and order, counterinsurgency operations, and internal security.

CRPF has a strength of around 3 lakh personnel and is deployed in various parts of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast region, and areas affected by Left Wing Extremism. It is also deployed in UN Peacekeeping missions in different parts of the world. CRPF has a specialized unit called the Rapid Action Force (RAF), which is trained to handle riots and other law and order situations.

Written Exam: The written exam is conducted, which includes multiple-choice questions on subjects like General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Reasoning.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify in the written exam need to undergo a PET which includes a race, long jump, and high jump.

Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify in the PET are called for a medical examination to ensure they are physically fit for the job.

Merit List: The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the written exam and PET.
