एक आदमी का पसंदीदा गधा एक गहरी खाई में गिर जाता है। चाहे वह कितनी भी कोशिश कर ले, वह इसे बाहर नहीं निकाल सकता। इसलिए वह इसे जिंदा दफनाने का फैसला करता है।

गधे पर ऊपर से मिट्टी डाली जाती है। गधा भार को महसूस करता है, उसे हिलाता है और उस पर कदम रखता है। अधिक मिट्टी डाली जाती है।

यह इसे हिलाता है और कदम बढ़ाता है। जितना अधिक भार डाला गया, उतना ही ऊंचा उठा। दोपहर तक गधा हरी-भरी चरागाहों में चर रहा था।

बहुत झटकों (समस्याओं का) और कदम उठाने (उनसे सीखने) के बाद, कोई हरे भरे चरागाहों में चरेगा।
