📘 Eligibility Criteria
🎓 Educational Qualification
✔ Matriculation (10th pass) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
✔ ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.Candidates must possess both qualifications to be eligible.
🧑🔧 Age Limit
Minimum: 15 years
Maximum: 24 years as of 23 March 2026.
Age Relaxations: Available as per Government rules:
• SC/ST: +5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
• PwBD: +10 years (additional relaxations also apply)
• Ex-servicemen: As per rules
🧠 Selection Process
✔ Merit-Based Selection:There will not be any written exam or interview. Selection will be done purely on merit, calculated based on the average of marks obtained in 10th class (with minimum 50%) and the ITI trade certificate.
✔ Final Stages:After the merit list is prepared, selected candidates undergo:

💰 Stipend & Training
Selected candidates are engaged as apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (training period typically around 1 year) and receive a stipend during training as per Indian Railways/Board rules. They may also get preference in future Level-1 job vacancies if they complete the training and obtain a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
