The Indian Navy SSR (Medical Assistant) Recruitment 2027 has been announced under the Agniveer scheme. Candidates are selected for the Medical Branch as Sailors (SSR Medical Assistant).

Last Date to Apply: 6 April 2026
Correction Window: 10–11 April 2026
INET Exam (Stage-1): May 2026
Result: June 2026
Training Start:
Batch 01/2027 → December 2026
Batch 02/2027 → May 2027
2️⃣ Post Name
SSR (Medical Assistant) – Sailor (Medical Branch)
Work includes:
First aid and nursing assistance
Handling medical stores and dispensaries
Helping doctors during medical treatment in Navy units or ships.
3️⃣ Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)
Minimum 50% aggregate marks
Minimum 40% in each subject.
4️⃣ Age Limit
For 2027 batches:
01/2027 batch: Born between 1 Dec 2004 – 31 May 2009
02/2027 batch: Born between 1 May 2005 – 31 Oct 2009.
5️⃣ Selection Process
Selection is conducted in 2 stages:
Stage-1
INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test – Computer Based)
Stage-2
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Written Test
Medical Examination.
6️⃣ Physical Fitness Test (Typical)
Running: 1.6 km in ~6:30 minutes
Squats: 20
Push-ups: 12
Bent knee sit-ups: 15
7️⃣ Physical Standards
Minimum Height: 157 cm
Vision: 6/12 (uncorrected), 6/6 (corrected).
8️⃣ Training Location
INS Chilka, Odisha (Basic Training)
After that → Medical Branch Professional Training. (Join Indian Navy)
